The roots of Dr. J Foundation were established by it's pioneers Dr. J. G. Arndel, Psy.D and Mr. I. M. Daniel Sr,  who decided to establish a spiritual study group in November of 2015, invited and incorporated Ms A.Maduro Psy.M, Dr. L. O. Maduro MD who incorporated Ms. G. Richards and began meeting primarily as of January 2016 on Friday evenings :

It was later decided that it was more imperative to contribute/help the needy in the community..... and together contributed financially to purchase a rental facility to house crisis victims & provide clothing/food banks etc to the community.

On April 1st of 2016, the Dr. J Foundation officially launched it's Crisis Shelter, thoroughly funded by personal financial contributions of Dr. J. Arndell, Mr. M. Daniel, Dr. L. Maduro and Ms A. Maduro Psy.M. The Dr. J Foundation was later financially assisted with sponsorship of a heavy duty wash machine/dryer and other household supplies by the (SMDF) Sint Maarten Development Foundation as well as a year assistance towards the monthly rental fee.

Today Dr.J Foundation Crisis Shelter is fully sponsored by Dr.J Enterprises whereas it's sister branch Dr.J Foundation Transitional Shelter is subsidized by government who primarily acquired the expertise of Dr.J. G. Arndell via her foundation due to the accumulation of enormous domestic challenges at the festival village. The transition of the hurricane victims from the festival village to the present location of Dr.J Transitional Facility Shelter in Sucker Garden commenced as of Feb 2018 whereas The Foundation managed to fully transition the residents into its present location in Sucker Garden as of April 1st 2018 thru March 31st of 2020.

By March 31st of 2020, The Dr. J Foundation had managed to reintegrate over 200 individuals into the community from The Dr.J Foundation "Hurricane Irma Reintegration Program Shelter". As of April 1st 2020, the Foundation transitioned into a full capacity Transitional Facility Shelter, now housing homeless pensioners, emergency victims and proposed dual diagnosed individuals.
